Remote/Full Time/Malta
About the role
-
You are the first person our customers talk to. Most of them are business owners, not technical users, and they will contact you when a post did not publish, an account will not connect, a scheduled item behaved unexpectedly, or they simply cannot find a button.
Your job is to answer them clearly and quickly, and then to work out what actually happened. That second part is why this is a technical support role rather than a purely conversational one: you will read logs, run read only SQL queries against our database to check what the system recorded, and reproduce issues before escalating them.
What you will do
- Answer customer questions over email, WhatsApp and in app chat, in clear and friendly English
- Reproduce reported problems and document them properly: what the user did, what happened, what should have happened
- Query our relational database to verify account states, scheduled jobs, publishing history and error records
- Read application logs and platform API error messages to identify the likely cause before escalating
- Escalate genuine bugs to development with enough detail that no one has to ask you a follow up question
- Onboard new customers: account setup, connecting their social media accounts, first scheduled post
- Write and maintain help articles, FAQ entries and short how to guides
- Feed recurring complaints back into product decisions, since you will notice patterns before anyone else does
What we are looking for
- Excellent written and spoken English. You will be writing to customers every day and clarity matters more than formality
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL: SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, ORDER BY, reading a schema and understanding how tables relate
- Entry level programming knowledge in any language (Python, JavaScript, PHP, whatever you learned on). You do not need to ship production code, but you should be able to read it and understand what it is doing
- Comfort with basic technical concepts: APIs, HTTP status codes, JSON, authentication tokens
- Patience and genuine care for non technical users. Our customers run bakeries, not servers
- Self discipline to work remotely without someone checking in on you hourly
- Legal right to work in Malta
Nice to have
- Turkish, Maltese or any additional language
- Previous experience in SaaS support or a helpdesk environment
- Familiarity with social media platform APIs (Meta Graph API, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Experience with ticketing or documentation tools
- Interest in moving toward a junior developer or technical support engineer role over time
What we offer
- EUR 15,000 gross per year, based on a 40 hour week, paid monthly
- Fully remote within Malta, with occasional in person meetings
- A defined growth path: this role is designed to grow into technical support engineering or junior development for the right person
- Direct access to the founder and to the codebase, with no layers of management in between
- Paid leave and public holidays per Maltese employment law
- Training support toward relevant certifications
Working hours
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexibility on start and finish times. Some customer messages arrive outside office hours; we handle those the next working day rather than expecting you to be permanently available.
How to apply
Send your CV and a short note to [email address] with the subject line Jr. Customer Support Agent.
In your note, please answer these two questions in a few sentences each:
- Describe a time you explained something technical to someone who was not technical. What did you change about how you said it?
- You have a table of users and a table of scheduled_posts. How would you find every user who has scheduled a post that failed to publish in the last seven days? A written description is fine; a query is welcome.
We read every application and we reply to everyone, including candidates we do not take forward.Send your CV and links to anything you’ve built — GitHub, personal projects, or work you’re proud of to [email protected]. A short note on a project you enjoyed working on and why goes a long way with us.
